What is this "m80" about?
It's all about the groove. There's no attempt to fit into a certain type of "sound" or genre. We make each song work by itself without trying to mold it into something else. Lyrically the topics range from finding yourself in the grip of a larger positive feeling to fighting those nocturnal, seminal urges lurking just below the surface of one' subconscious. It's a fine line really. The underlying strength of group is the power of the rhythm section ready to rear it's ugly gnarled and knotty head at any moment.
The vocals and guitars feed off of this surge of energy like a 98 lb. political prisoner after a 6 week hunger strike. Strings break, kindling flys and skirts rise as the frenzy ensues. By the time the dust clears, all that remains is a sweaty heaving pile of wood, metal and flesh.
